Roles & Responsibilities – Purchase Engineer (Mechanical)
Reviewed and analyzed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering drawings to verify specifications for fabricated parts, raw materials, machined components, bearings, valves, pipes, fittings, fasteners, and structural steel.
Prepared techno-commercial offers and quotations in accordance with customer requirements, project scope, and technical specifications.
Identified, evaluated, and developed vendors and subcontractors; managed RFQs, comparative statements, cost analysis, price negotiations, and purchase order (PO) issuance.
Coordinated with suppliers and job-work vendors to ensure timely material procurement and delivery, supporting uninterrupted fabrication and production schedules.
Monitored material consumption and inventory levels in coordination with Stores to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Conducted quality checks and inspections (at vendor site or in-house) for raw materials and fabricated items to ensure compliance with drawings, standards, and quality requirements.
Provided technical support for material selection, alternative sourcing, and issue resolution during procurement and production stages.
Maintained complete purchase, inspection, job-work, and vendor documentation for audits, traceability, and reporting.
Coordinated closely with Design, Production, Quality, Stores, and Accounts teams for technical clarifications, planning, GRN processing, and payment follow-ups.

Fabrication parts, raw materials, machined components, bearings, valves, pipes, fittings, fasteners અને structural steel માટે BOM (Bill of Materials) તથા engineering drawingsનું ચકાસણું અને વિશ્લેષણ કરવું.
Customer requirement, project scope અને technical specification અનુસાર Techno-Commercial Offer તથા Quotation તૈયાર કરવું.
Vendors અને subcontractorsની ઓળખ, મૂલ્યાંકન અને વિકાસ કરવો; RFQ, comparative statement, cost analysis, price negotiation અને Purchase Order (PO) તૈયાર કરવું.
Suppliers અને job-work vendors સાથે સંકલન કરી સમયસર material procurement અને delivery સુનિશ્ચિત કરવી.
Stores વિભાગ સાથે સંકલન કરી material consumption અને inventory level પર નજર રાખવી જેથી shortage કે excess stock ન થાય.
Raw material અને fabricated items માટે quality check અને inspection (vendor site અથવા in-house) કરવી.
Procurement અને production દરમ્યાન material selection, alternate sourcing અને issue resolution માટે technical support આપવું.
Purchase, inspection, job-work અને vendor સંબંધિત તમામ દસ્તાવેજો audit, traceability અને reporting માટે જાળવવા.
Design, Production, Quality, Stores અને Accounts ટીમ સાથે સંકલન કરી technical clarification, planning, GRN process અને payment follow-up કરવું.
